What's the Best Mulch For Your Garden?

There are loads of different types of garden mulch available right now, and before you go to the effort and expense of mulching your garden beds (which is a VERY good idea, after all the rain!), it is important that you choose the right mulch for the job. To (hopefully), make this a little easier for you, here is an “at a glance” guide to our mulches.

1" Hoop Pine
This curly Pine bark locks together making it the perfect landscape bark for sloping sites and raised garden beds, ideal around pools. Used for domestic gardens, resorts. Office blocks and new estates etc.

25mm Slash Pine
A decorative bark suitable for any size garden, domestic or commercial.

50mm Slash Pine
Ideal for large commercial and domestic gardens

Hardwood Chip
Neat, clean and simple, chips of hardwood for a long lasting economical mulch.

Hoop Fines
The Rolls Royce of mulch. An excellent mulch with high moisture retention suitable for all gardens and pots.

Soft Fall
Manufactured from slash pine bark particles between 5 and 12 mm in size. This is a great impact absorption material, ideal for playground surfaces. Required installation depth for playgrounds is 250 - 300mm.

Cypress Chip
Clean chips of Cypress timber. Rich long lasting natural honey golden colour. Retains moisture, reducing water requirement for your garden. This product is naturally termite resistant.

Earth Grow
Earth Grow is produced here on the Sunshine Coast, and is an organic blend of aged hoop fines, hardwood sawdust and mulch blended with a little cow manure (this is what makes it so ideal as a soil conditioner and mulch for nutrient depleted soil).

EnviroMulch
EnviroMulch is an organic garden mulch which has been designed by Australia's leading agronomists, horticulturalists, revegetation professionals and soil scientists. It is made from renewable Australian resources and has been heat treated to guarantee it is weed, pest and pathogen free. EnviroMulch is free from waxes and toxins and is a premium organic and natural product.

Fine Tree Mulch
Tree Mulch is made up of tree loppings which have been mulched. Tree Mulch is also known as Energex mulch.

Forest Fines
This is a mulch for the environmentalists among us. Fine grade mulch ideal for moisture retention and weed suppression in all outdoor garden applications. It is not currently in stock, but you can order this product through us. There is a minimum order quantity of 5m3.

Hardwood Mulch
New mulch, fairly coarse graded hardwood mulch. Colour may vary between a red and golden brown. Holds well on slopes. Excellent for water retention and weed suppression. Ideal for mulching large garden beds.

Mushroom Compost
Fantastic for soil rejuvenation, moisture retention and an excellent fertiliser for your garden. This is one of our best sellers.

Outback Cypress Mulch
100% shredded Cypress Bark, ideal for embankments, slopes and wind swept areas. Retains moisture, reducing water requirements for your garden. Rich long lasting reddish brown colour. This mulch is perfect around timber homes as it is naturally termite resistant.

Tea Tree Mulch
This beautiful product forms a closely woven but highly absorbent mat that retains soil moisture and inhibits weed growth. Tea Tree mulch breaks down over time, releasing nutrient back into the soil. It has a fresh, fragrant aroma.
