It is frustrating to see people spend thousands of dollars on plants for their gardens, and then scrimp on Sunshine Coast garden soil. It’s a bit like putting tractor tyres on a Ferrari. The best way to ensure rapid and healthy growth in your garden is to use a soil that has been specifically blended for that purpose.
Going for the super cheap option every time is false economy. We like to think of using the best quality soil as an 'insurance policy' for your plants. All our soils are blended on-site to ensure they are clean and free from contaminants.
This is a quick guide to the types of soils we have available at Coastal Landscape Supplies, and what they are each good for.
1. Coastal Premium Blend
This is our signature blend soil. It is the highest quality soil we have and is perfect for vegetable gardens. Coastal Premium Blend is good enough to eat, (almost). It is extremely nutrient dense and is the best way possible to get your veggies growing healthy and fast.
2. Top Dress Soil
Top Dress Soil is a soil that has been fertilised and blended with very high quality sand, which promotes excellent drainage and lush growth. Great for plants that don't like to have wet feet! This soil has been blended with the lawn enthusiast in mind.
3. Garden Soil
This is a nutrient rich soil for garden beds in general. It is suitable for natives.
4. Under Turf
This is a free drainage soil which is designed to give newly laid turf the best start. When you consider the time, energy and money associated with laying fresh turf, it is crazy to contemplate laying it without a good layer of Under Turf soil to get it going.
