Crusher dust is a product which is crushed from the same kind of rock as road base but is much finer and gives a smoother finish than road base. It is important to note that it is not as strong as road base.

Crusher dust is made from recycled crushed rock or concrete and is sized 5mm & smaller. This makes it quite a fine product which is easy to spread or screed. Crusher dust contains fine particles like soft sand, and although it is an extremely manageable product, we don’t recommend that it be used under pavers.

Crusher dust is commonly used as a cost-effective filling and packing material around water tanks, to backfill trenches and under concrete slabs, pathways, tank pads and driveways, and blended with natural sands to improve concrete shrinkage and water demand or for any areas which require compaction. This product can also be mixed with cement to make it more durable.

What many people don’t know, is that crusher dust can be used on all garden plants and will act as a fantastic fertiliser and soil improver because it increases the mineral content of the soil. All in all, it is a terrific cost effective all rounder and you can order it here.
